Mazda will give an MX-5 for free to 50 heroes
This is the Japanese carmaker's way of honoring the COVID warriors
2020 has been majorly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The corona-virus has taken the lives of many but in these tough times heroes have risen. Whether it has been doctors or teachers or someone else, nearly everyone has done a heroic job in helping their community battle the pandemic.
Now, Mazda will reward 50 heroes with a Mazda MX-5 for free under the programme "Mazda Heroes: Honoring The Human Spirit."
The MX-5 will be pretty special too. It will be the 100th anniversary edition. The major features of this MX-5 are the red accents and white paint coupled with 100th Anniversary logos on the wheels and headrests.
People who have done "selfless acts, creative approaches, and contributions to community" will be getting an MX-5.
Jeff Guyton, president of Mazda North American Operations said, "This programme will honor individuals supporting communities and share their stories in a moment when people desire inspiration in their lives."
If you know a hero who should be rewarded then head to Mazda's hero website and make your submission by October 25. Mazda will announce the honorees from December 2.
