Mazda's 323 Series & Wrack Races
17th Mazowian Wrack Race took place the last weekend in Mysiadło, near Warsaw. 323 series Mazdawracks were well-represented. They also performed well.
I did not manage to show up at the very beginning of the event. So, I missed all morning races. This said, semi-finals, final, and handicup races went great for Mazda's! I saw four 323 series on the track. All of them performed well.

Let me start from the fallen heroes whose deeds I did not manage to record. First 323 I encountered was Mazda 323F BG from late 1980s. Covered in mud. The vehicle did its job and rested on a tow truck. I'm afraid, it will never ever pop up its lights again. No photo here, unfortunately.
Another Mazda from the same years, 323 BG hatch, was more successful and survivable. The red-and-balck, angels-and-demons car. I saw it running in the last race. A beautiful lady was behind the wheel. In the earlier races, it had been driven by a man. As can you see from Adam Roch pictures, the car had a tough time. And it managed to break through (literal meaning here)!
Another Mazda was red 323C BA, produced between 1994-98. 1,5L 88HP Z5 engine. The car managed it to the final race, but failed to finish. I don't even know whether it got broken by itself or someone “helped” it. I was standing in a different sector. All photos here are printscreens from video.
My favorite, though, was 323F BA. 1,8 114HP BP-ZE engine. Produced between 1994-98. The same car I own and drive, actually, but mine is in a much-much-much better condition. The red-and-yellow pocket-monster survived all races. It over-performed majority of competitors. Actually, I was amazed how much this car can produce being in such a wracked condition (applauses to the driver here). It was running as hell even with no tires (literally no tires)! It managed to make a full-round gap and take the lead in the final race! However, no-tire finish made it come third :( Afterwards, standing in pits, it had no leaks... almost no leaks. This is my personal champion!
There have also been 323's in BJ versions, 1998-2002. However, I saw only one red car in the handicap race. Adam Roch saw another, blue one, which is in the picture below. I can conclude, that BJ's were not as successful as BA's on the track.

P.S. Mazda's are more reliable than I though before. Even totally rusted vehicles.
