McLaren confirms it will build a ‘brutal’ road-legal Hypercar
Finally, after much speculation, McLaren has confirmed the next instalment in its Ultimate Series of cars. Codenamed Project P15 the Woking based carmaker describes this new hypercar as the “most extreme, track-concentrated road car McLaren has yet designed.”
Full details will be revealed in early 2018, but McLaren has confirmed that this new model will both the “ultimate track car” while being fully road-legal. They have also stated that the new model will sacrifice some daily usability while offering the “most intensive driver experience around a circuit” which sounds just magnificent to us.
They go on to describe its design as “brutal” and that it is “the purest expression yet of the company’s ‘form follows function’ philosophy.
Project P15 will arrive before the recently teased three-seater Project BP23, meaning that the world will be salivating over the fact that a pair of McLaren ‘Ultimate’ series cars are coming in the next few years.
As usual, we have no idea what the P15 will look like, for now, McLaren has released this teaser showing a trio of ultra-cool hexagonal tailpipes meaning that early 2018 for the full reveal cannot come soon enough.
