McLaren hands F3 driver Lando Norris F1 test drive in Hungary
The promising British driver will get his first taste of the 2017 McLaren F1 car during the Hungary test.
McLaren-Honda has announced Lando Norris and Stoffel Vandoorne for the two-day post-Hungarian Grand Prix test on August 1-2.
Norris, 17, joined the Woking-based team as its development driver earlier this year and has already driven the 2011-spec McLaren F1 car at Algarve.
The British driver currently competes in the FIA European Formula 3 championship as a rookie with the Carlin outfit.
After five rounds in the 2017 season, Norris sits third in the standings with three wins and seven podiums to his name. He is the topmost rookie, leading his teammate and Force India junior Jehan Daruvala.
McLaren stated Vandoorne will drive on Day 1, with Norris taking over the MCL32 on Day 2 of the in-season testing.
