McLaren Senna 'Merlin' edition is simply stunning

And very, very expensive

This outstanding McLaren Senna 'Merlin' is currently listed for sale on Bring A Trailer and I'm fairly certain it will sell for mega millions. It currently sits at $900,000 with 8 days to go and I wouldn't be surprised if it sold for four or five times the amount.

It is a one-off 'Merlin' edition created by (and for) Darren 'Merlin' Townsend, head of bespoke paint at McLaren Special Operations. The paint is spectacular, with rainbow-coloured sparkles and gold pinstriping and gold accents.

It sits on lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels at the front and 20-inch alloy wheels at the rear, in gloss black, with gold-finished six- and four-piston front and rear brake calipers and Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres.

The cabin is upholstered in black Alcantara, including the carbon fibre bucket seats, with gold Merlin embroidery and gold inserts. The throttle pedal, this is the cherry on top of the cake, features etchings of moons and stars.

The engine is untouched, which means the Senna Merlin is powered by the factory 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, putting 789 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The car is brand new, coming in with only 600 miles on the clock, and in perfect condition.

  • Not a fan of the Senna but this is spectacular. I mean WOW. Not many cars make me go WOW. That paint is just awesome. The wing is, uhhhh, huge. For when you wing's wing needs more wing. Damn.

  • I'm a HUGE fan of the Mclaren Senna but the paint and detailing the car is not what i'm going to put on my Senna if I had one because it's really unsporty and makes it feel like a fantasy car rather that supercar but apart from that I'm very satisfied with the spec of the alcantara and carbon fibre
