McLaren's next hypercar will be even more expensive than a Bugatti
McLaren launched the Vision Gran Turismo in 2017. This crazy futuristic racing car was however only available in Gran Turismo Sport. However, there are rumours that McLaren is currently preparing a road legal version of the Vision Gran Turismo. This street model will be the brand's next hypercar.
According to Supercar Blog, this future car won't be cheap. Its price would be between 3.5 and 4 million dollars. This would put the future hypercar well above the Senna at only 1 million dollars and even above the Speedtail and its 2 million dollars. In fact, the future hypercar will be even more expensive than a Bugatti Chiron or a Koenigsegg Jesko.
This absolutely insane price could be justified by the extreme exclusivity of the beast. Rumour has it that only 15 units will be built for selected customers. The car will also be very powerful with a 4.0 L V8 engine that could well be combined with several electric motors. All of which would deliver more than 1,100 hp.
In terms of design, the future hypercar should be an evolution of the Senna, especially at the front. It will be equipped with very thin headlights as on the 720S and vertical taillights, which are also very thin. The huge wing with an integrated brake light could well be included in the series production model. If confirmed, McLaren's future hypercar will rival the Mercedes-AMG One and the Aston Martin Valkyrie.
