Meet a 1992 Nissan NX2000, one of the most forgotten cars Nissan ever made, yet it is such a fun and amazing car. It doesn't make sense why this car never caught on like the MR2 or the Miata.
It was probably the styling. Today we look at it, and it appears perfectly sound for the period. But compared with the likes of the Mazda, the front-wheel-drive layout of the NX meant a big front overhang, and as a result it didn’t appear as purposeful. Those who chose to drive it might have been rewarded but Nissan’s problem was getting people into the showroom.
