The peculiarity about the Macan is in its all new details in and out as well as more power under the hood. It comes with 2 variants Macan GTS & Macan S. Lets first start with the most exciting of the the All new Macan GTS.
So basically I would like to start with the fact that this is gonna sell alongside the Macan's electric version which Porsche is going to announce soon which promises more power than Tycan electric sedan.
So the base Macan continues to use a turbocharged 2.0 L four cylinder engine which now produces 257 bhp and a torque output of 400 Nm with a sharp increase of 12 bhp and 29 Nm with a 0-100 Km/h at 5.8 seconds. The top speed here is 231 Km/h.
The new Macan GTS uses old Turbo's 428 bhp 2.9 L twin-turbocharged V6 engine which produces a torque output of 550 Nm. All Macans have been coupled with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission. The 0-100 Km/h timing is impressive at 4.3 seconds and with a top speed of 272 Km/h .
Macan GTS models come equipped with Porsche's tungsten-carbide-coated brakes, first seen on the Cayenne SUV, plus air springs that make the GTS sit 0.4-inch lower than the other Macans. An available GTS sport package adds a launch control function, a torque-vectoring rear axle, Pirelli P Zero Corsa summer tires, sport seats, and more black exterior trim.
This sure is a impressive marvel of engineering from Porsche.
Exterior differences on the 2022 Macan are subtle with an updated front end and a larger black rear diffuser. There are seven new wheels to choose from, and standard sizes vary from 19 to 21 inches based on which model you select. GTS models get new satin black 21-inch RS Spyder Design wheels, clear LED headlights, and a sport exhaust system with black tips.
Cockpit & Interior Design
The Macan's button-filled center console is replaced with haptic buttons on the 2022 model, much like the Cayenne, and it has a shorter gear selector. The touchscreen still measures 10.9 inches and comes standard with a navigation system and Apple CarPlay capability (sorry, still no Android Auto). The new Macan also gets the 992-generation 911's steering wheel.
PORSCHE MACAN S
The next big thing from Porsche is this Macan S its a less sport version of the Macan GTS but believe me this has also got some pretty cool specs and numbers to present itself in front of Porsche fans and its competitors.
The 2022 Macan S is now equipped with a 373 bhp , 2.9-liter twin-turbo V-6 from the 2021 Macan GTS as standard equipment,replacing the 3.0-liter V-6 in the 2021 Macan S with a torque output of 520Nm. This propels the vehicle from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and gives it a top speed of up to 259 km/h. Like the GTS the Macan S is also coupled with Porsche's all-wheel drive and a seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission.
The Macan S rolls on a base 20-inch wheel/tire setup, but you can also opt for 21s too. Brakes include 14.2-inch rotors with six-piston calipers for the Macan S . There is a option available of six-piston PCSB special-coating design, which reduces brake dust and is not to be confused with the PCCB carbon-ceramic brakes. In fact, the carbon-ceramics are no longer available for any Macan due to a copper brake pad issue that prevents Porsche from selling them in the U.S. (Also, almost no customers chose them as an option on prior Macans.) The PASM active-suspension system is worth having, as it gives drivers the option to firm up the dampers in Sport or Sport Plus modes.
