Meet the Breadvan Hommage: a one-off, Ferrari 550-based shooting brake

This retrolicious shooting brake will surely steal your soul

What you see here is a Ferrari 550 Maranello. Except this isn't a Ferrari 550 Maranello because this is the Ferrari Breadvan Hommage - one-off retro shooting brake that is based on the above mentioned Ferrari.

Made by Niels van Roij, the Breadvan Hommage has a fully bespoke body and interior. Powered by a 5.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 capable of producing around 500 horsepower, this lovely shooting brake has an open-gate six-speed manual gearbox and - surprise - it is rear-wheel drive.

The Breadvan has KONI' adjustable shockers built specially for this car and ‘double-adjustable 8211-series’ tech (also seen in F1) which will make this shooting brake “relatively comfortable around town, but a true ‘performer’ on the racetrack”.

As stated earlier, this has bespoke interior having a retro feel. You will find old gauges and carbon fibre seats having black leather along with blue Alcantara upholstery. The door straps are a nod to 1960s race cars.

The Breadvan Hommage sits on special 20-inch summer Vredestein tyres designed by ItalDesign Guigaro. “We intended to be inspired by the original, but ensured we were not limited by it in our creativity. The Breadvan Hommage is a new original”, says the creator of this shooting brake - Niels van Roij.

Weighing 1,716 kilograms, this shooting brake is a celebration of true Italian coachbuilding. Something, that we see very rarely these days.
