Meet the bulletproof Ferrari 458 Speciale from AddArmor
It still performs like the supercar it was meant to be...
Now you all must be wondering "why would you add armour on a supercar?" AddArmor says why not?. And to show you that a supercar can be bulletproof without any performance lags, the good people at AddArmor have created a prototype using the Ferrari 458 Speciale.

In its stock configuration, the 458 Speciale can do 0-60 in 2.8 seconds and top out at 202 mph. AddArmor have done that without ruining those numbers, how? Well....For starters, the B4-level armouring package encases the passenger compartment. The B4-level armouring that can stop .44 Magnum bullet, so Dirty Harry cannot shoot you. AddArmor's lightweight armour weighs 60% lesser and 10 times stronger than ballistic steel. The total weight added to the weight of the car is 156 pounds.

Now, for a supercar that much would make a difference, so the engineers at AddArmor made sure 458 Speciale came with every carbon fibre option available. Then they replaced the factory exhaust with a Capristo exhaust system which further reduced the overall weight by 91 pounds. The weight reduction was one aspect, the exhaust added 40 horsepower and 65 lb-ft of torque.

It will still do 0-60 in 2.9 sec & have a top speed of 202 mph
So, in the end, the overall weight addition including the B4 level armour was 67 pounds but comes with more with 40hp more and 65 lb-ft of torque, which allowed it to maintain the same performance numbers of the stock vehicle - 0-60 in 2.9 sec & have a top speed of 202 mph.
For bulletproofing vehicles, this is ground-breaking because armouring can now be done to exotic supercars without any loss of performance. AddArmour has previously bulletproofed an Audi RS7 and could still do 202 mph and 0-60 in 2.9 seconds, and many other cars, so, these guys do know what they are doing.

However, the prototype is a $625,000 car, I am not certain whether you can buy it. For that you know the drill, give them a call and ask. As for me, I think that is very impressive to have a bulletproof supercar without any lag in performance or changing the look.

That or just be so fast you become hard to hit by anything below 5.56 calibres.
Well there are also marksmen out in the world, fast would not matter
If you have a reputation or live in a place that causes you to consider an armored vehicle, it’s time to relocate and reconsider your lifestyle/career/morality and ethics. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
😂😂 yeah true
