Meet the new 163bhp Fiat Abarth 595 Pista

Abarth have just unveiled the next performance generation of its Fiat 500 range and it looks mean!

Straight off the bat, the new 595 Pista will have a retail price of £19,135 which all things considered is quite cheap. Not to mention that by buying this instead of the older 595 Turismo variant will save you £1060.

It is important to remember that with any Fiat 500 variant, no matter how many body kits it has or how good the exhaust sounds; road dominance is not something you will have. Nor will you see James Bond chasing down villains in one. But you will get a go-kart sized car powered by a 1.4 litre turbocharged engine producing up to 163hp with Abarth's Record Monza exhaust system as standard.

The 595 Pista will come as standard with 17 inch alloy wheels and a set of ventilated disc brakes and an automatic gearbox, along with a 5-speed flappy paddle transmission. Inside the Pista is equipped with racing bucket seats that honour the manufacturers 70th anniversary and a sporty flat bottom steering wheel.

The centre console will also be home to a 'Sport' button, which when pressed will adjust the cars steering, throttle response and torque output. Buyers can also expect all the usual interior comforts such as a seven inch infotainment screen with DAB radio, Apple Carplay and Android Auto functionality.

So, what do you think of the new Fiat Abarth 595 Pista?

  • If I got one I’d get a 180 bro Competizione.

  • I love abarths, yet I'd still really want them to somehow shove 200-250hp in a variant of the 595.
