Meet the new C8 Corvette Stingray, same as the old one but better
I'm obsessed with the new 'Caffeine' paint option
I love the 'new' C8 Corvette. What's not to like? It looks great, it goes like stink and it costs less than a new Porsche 718 Cayman S or a Lexus RC F. Chevy recently tweaked it, giving it a new low-profile rear spoiler and an upgraded direct injection system for the 2022 model, which is available in three new colors: Hypersonic Gray, Amplify Orange and, my personal favorite, Caffeine.
These three colors are new but they're actually replacing paint options that were previously available. The Amplify Orange replaced the Sebring Orange while the Hypersonic Gray and the Caffeine replaced the Zeus Bronze and Shadow Gray respectively. Accelerate Yellow, Rapid Blue, and Arctic White are still available. And by the way, you gotta love these quirky names.
As for the cabin, you can go for the black-on-black combo (dubbed Jet Black) if you're feeling a bit dark or you can go for Adrenaline Red upholstery or the Two-Tone Blue, which for some reason kinda reminds of the late 1990s/early 2000s.
The 6.2-liter V8 puts out 495 hp and Chevy has added a new feature, which allows you to run the car on 4 cylinders only to save fuel and save polar bears. And yes, it still cheaper than a Mercedes SLC or a V8 Toyota Land Cruiser, starting from $62,195. Outstanding.
