MEET THE SPECTACULAR NEW CORVETTE ART CAR
CORVETTE + GRAFFITI + RACE CAR = AWESOME!
Labre Competition has competed in 23 Le Mans 24 hours. For their 24th appearance, they wanted to do something special. Enter the "Human" Art Car. The concept of an art car is nothing new, BMW has been doing it for decades. While the recent Art Cars have been less art more, I don't know what, but they haven't been very good. Enter Labre, they commissioned street artist Ramzi Adek to make their special C7.R GTE-Am stand out. The end result, "Human" is spectacular.
The graffiti-style paint job reminds us why art cars can be so special. Labre welcomed Adek with open arms. "I got the impression that I was the fourth driver of the team, and could motivate them even further," Adek said in an official statement. Adek would go on to describe the Corvette as a real-life American Superhero, thus the Superhero theme.
While the paint job is gloriously unique in the daytime, when the sun goes down that is when the Labre 'Vette will really stand out. You see anyone can paint a race car with graffiti. Adek and Labre went next level adding fluorescent paint that will glow in the dark. Given how dark it gets at Le Mans at night, should make for quite the specticale.
