Memory Drive: The Failed Top Gear Audition Scheme

I remember when the announcement was made when the BBC was launching the reboot of the series after the trio had left. The announcement invited users all to make an audition video of sorts of why they liked Top Gear, and cars, as petrolheads often do. The rules were fairly straightforward, you had to be in front of the camera, state your reasons, and keep the footage about less than three minutes. The winning entries would be featured in Top Gear in some way, be it a shout out, mention, or invitation to join and be part of the show, or so the BBC claimed. Now, I am not going to say my video was the best, it certainly cheated (as did a few other entries) as I showed snippets of a car. However, the biggest let down of all was the fact that the BBC never used any of the videos that were sent to it. So, for all of you drivers out there, I give you my audition video for you to enjoy!
