Production of the new Mercedes-Benz Class A is now officially launched. The German manufacturer had already opened orders for the smallest model in its range, and has just produced the first copy of the Class A in its Rastatt plant, about fifty kilometers west of Stuttgart, Germany. In a few weeks, Mercedes will also produce the compact at its plant in Kecskemét, Hungary.

The new Class A is the first representative of the fourth generation of the compact vehicles of the brand. And to prepare the production of the new generation of Class A, Mercedes has expanded two body shops and built additional production lines, with the aim of continuing the production of the previous generation of Class A, Class B and GLA, without interruption until the arrival of the new generation of these models. In the near future, the brand will also produce compact electric vehicles in the same plant.
