Mercedes-Maybach unveils its Ultimate Luxury at the Beijing Motor Show
Will he have a future in production ?
The Beijing Salon is certainly one of the liveliest shows, especially for the most luxurious models. It is certainly not the new concept car presented by Mercedes-Maybach that will prove the opposite. Indeed, the German brand has just unveiled its Ultimate Luxury, which, as the name suggests, represents all that the manufacturer can do best in terms of luxury and refinement.
The result is simply spectacular. We discover a SUV with a limousine inclination 5.20 meters long, 2.11 meters wide and 1.76 meters high. Just like the Mercedes-Maybach Vision 6 concept car, there are some similar features, including this very accentuated fall of the flag that gives it the appearance of coupe. Concept-car requires, we notice some jokes including this separating rod at the rear window. The back side is perhaps a coarse hair, especially because of strangely integrated optics.
Mercedes-Maybach managers promise comfort that is obviously even better than that of the Mercedes S-Class. Taking a closer look at the visuals provided, everything suggests that they are right because we find ourselves aboard a real technological setting mixed with the most noble materials. In this kind of high-end cars the best seats are often in the back, as evidenced by these two chairs separated by a central console that incorporates a small tea service.
The Ultimate Luxury is not powered by a heat engine but by four electric motors whose cumulative power is announced at 750 horses. The cavalry is distributed to four-wheel drive and the storage of electricity is provided by a battery with a capacity of 80 kW located at the floor. According to the NEDC cycle, the car claims about 500 kilometers of autonomy. This concept car will obviously result from an upcoming model series, but not before a few years.
