Mercedes unveils Weathered Mercedes 300 SL model

Plus: Merc has also unveiled pullback drive toys and other accessories

The Mercedes 300SL is arguably one of the most beautiful cars ever to roll out of Germany. From its glorious headlights to its gullwing doors, the 300SL is simply gorgeous. Only 3,000 have been built so the car is pretty rare.

In a latest collection of toys and accessories, Mercedes has revealed a weathered model of the 300SL.

The attention to detail in the model is outstanding and it looks just as beautiful as the real car. The model is in 1:8 scale and costs a heart-breaking 19,900 euros. Oof.

That's not all as Merc has also unveiled some very nice 1:24, 1:38, and 1:43 scale models and pullback toys which cost an affordable 7.90 euros.

Mercedes has also unveiled keychains, a pen, a leather travel bag, and a driver's cap made from fine leather in its classic SL store. All these accessories look quite cool.

  • I assume the 1:43 and maybe the 1:38 have pullback power? Because if so, that's actually kinda killer value. Any purchase links? Not that I can afford it, but some of our heavy-hitters here might.

    • Yes, the 1:43 and other scales are pull-backs. As for the links, I'm still finding them. Will tell you more as I find

  • Personally I can understand the weathered look and believe it started with race cars that were left in, "as raced condition". I does make some models look more realistic for sure. But for me personally, and my collection, I would MUCH rather them all be show room quality with NO visible signs of wear.

  • I had a model 300SL myself and its kinda weathered down

Well my 8-year old self broke it so the windshield is broken and one wheel fell off
