Microsoft finally confirms the $300 Xbox Series S is real
The most affordable way to play the new Forza Motorsport
After months of leaks and rumours Microsoft has finally revealed the Xbox Series S, its second, less powerful, next-gen console to be sold alongside the Series X.
Just hours after the consoles design and price leaked online the Xbox Twitter account confirmed the information was indeed accurate.
Microsoft says the Series S offers “next gen performance in the smallest Xbox ever” and lists the price as $299 in the US and £249 in the UK but stopped short of announcing exact specifications for the console.
Both new Xbox consoles, along with the PlayStation 5, are expected to release this November. Fans of racing games will have something to look forward to whichever console you prefer to play on, with Dirt 5, Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo 7 all already announced.
