Jim Eby drove his 26 horse power 1919 Franklin from St Petersburg Florida to Plymouth Michigan to the Mission Classic in Carmel California. His drive back to St. Petersburg Florida gave him a round trip of over 6,500 miles in a car that has a top speed of about 40mph! His car was purchased new by his grandfather who gave it to his son and now is owned by Jim. At the time of the interview, Jim and his wife had been on the road since July 15th and traveled approximately 200 miles per day on the trip. Jim cares for and attends to the car himself, during the long cross country trek, attending multiple car shows along the way! It was a pleasure to learn Jim's story and the story of his car, a true survivor!
