Drivetribe Ambassador Interview - Washington D.C. Restaurant Review

By: Migz 11/28/2018

I had scoped this restaurant out years ago while visiting Washington D.C. and couldn't wait to return. Anytime I visit, it is the go to place for dinner and here's why: roasted boneless filet of sea bass, oven roasted boneless cornish hen, herb marinated and grilled salmon steak, thin sliced filet mignon sautéed w/ caramelized onion, pickles & heavy cream, served w/ buckwheat & cornichons. Ok, so the last one sounds a bit different, but it is authentic beef stroganoff! All of the meals here are delicious and don't break the bank. We were in town for only four nights and two of them were spent at Mari Vanna and this was Thanksgiving week! The first night we had a party of 5 and the second a party of 11.

Our host, Oleksandr Yaroshynskyi, made the night even more special. With a great sense of humor that matched the personalities at the table, he recommended a variety of ethnic foods and took us on a foodie adventure! In addition, there were libations a plenty, from Moscow mules to infused vodkas and more. Mari Vanna made for an entertaining evening in a cozy atmosphere with a satisfied stomach and money left in your pocket to return for a second night!
