Mika Hakkinen to visit India for Johnnie Walker event, will drive Caparo T1
The 'Flying Finn' will be in the country for three days.
Two-time Formula 1 champion Mika Hakkinen will be India for three days between November 10-12 for the #JoinThePact event, an initiative of Johnnie Walker for its 'Never Drink And Drive' campaign.
The 'Flying Finn' as he is popularly known as, will be in Mumbai for the first two days, before heading off to New Delhi for a day-long programme, open to the public on November 12 at the Ambience Island.
In Mumbai, the Finn will attend a press conference to start his three-day trip, with a chance for lucky fans to meet him at the Bandra Kurla Complex. He will also surprise randomly chosen winners on a premium Ola ride.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, the 49-year-old will give selective fans a drive on the Caparo T1, a F1-inspired road legal two-seater, mid-engine, rear-wheel drive racing car, built by British company Caparo Vehicle Technologies.
It is the first time the Caparo T1 will touch the Indian soil - exclusively for the event - which is organised by Homegrown. The day will also have involvement of JK Tyre showcasing its Euro JK's car driven by Mira Erda and emerging Indian talents driving the Rotax karts.
Even though Johnnie Walker is a sponsor of McLaren and the Force India outfit in F1, there will be no presence of the same, since the event is separate from the sport.
