kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport (ADAC Berlin-Brandenburg e.V.) driver Mike David Ortmann secured a strong third place in the driver’s championship. "The season was very good. I am satisfied having secured third place also regarding the options we had for testing. We were on a good level with three victories and ten podium finishes", he summarised.

Ortmann's personal highlight were his two victories at the Sachsenring, even though the 17-year-old admitted it was hard to process the emotions of his first single-seater career wins. "It was incredibly beautiful", Ortmann pictured his moments on the top step of the podium in the end.

Due to his tight schedule it's hard to predict where Ortmann fans can see him next. His fanclub, which is based a few kilometers away from Lausitzring, surprised Ortmann with a big banner on the main grandstand this year. That's why it is important for the Mücke driver to give something back to them. "Of course, we try to come up with something for my fans."

"But it's extremely difficult as I am training to become a motor vehicle mechatronics engineer which means I also have to go to vocational school. Fortunately I get days off for testing and the races", Ortmann explained. In worst case, his fans might have to wait the 148 days until the start of the new ADAC GT Masters season in Oschersleben at the end of April. Because he is just 17 years of age, Mike David Ortmann is set to become the youngest driver in ADAC GT Masters history.

The young German is "looking forward to this new challenge in a new car and a new class, especially with two drivers on one car. But I have a good feeling and believe it will be a successful season." Despite the continuous fitness training in preparation for 2017, Ortmann will use the current christmas period for a short time out to relax with his family.
