That's right, the Mini name has been about for 60 years and Mini have decided to celebrate that with this limited run Cooper S, designed in the spirit of the original BMC Mini. This limited edition is purely cosmetic as the chassis and engine remain untouched. More on that in a bit.

So let's talk about what you're getting with the Mini 60 Years Edition version of the Cooper S. Starting with the outside, there are unique additions which are exclusive to the special edition Mini which includes a new British Racing Green paint colour, contrasting black roof and wing mirrors, specially designed bonnet stripes and two-tone 17 inch alloy wheels.

Other exterior features include a commemorative badge on the bonnet, unique indicator housings and as an LED projection from the bottom of the driver’s door. Models sold in the UK will be fitted with a set of front-mounted, rally-style spotlights. Other standard fit items include all round LED lights at the front and back.

On the inside, the anniversary theme continues, with the seats being upholstered in model specific brown leather with contrast stitching and piping, and the 60 Years emblem displayed on the steering wheel and front seats.

Feature wise, you get an 8.8-inch infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, and even wireless smartphone charging. A rear-view camera and parking sensors are also standard fit.

So, what powers this special edition model? Well, you get the 2.0 litre petrol engine and seven speed automatic gearbox which can be found in the Cooper S, meaning it can accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.7sec and go on to a top speed of 145mph. Power wise, you get 190bhp and 207lb ft of torque.

You want one then? Well, be prepared to pay £29,990 for this 60 Years Edition model which is £8850 more than a standard Cooper S. In comparison, a Cooper S JCW model will cost you £25,935 before options. However, if you must have the limited edition Mini, you buy one in Mini dealerships in the UK from March 2019. Get one quick as only 500 are going to be made.
