Getting the best images out of a mobile device

Recently I’ve been looking at how other people use mobile devices for photography and the apps they use. Personally I only really use Instagram on my mobile phone.

Its not really something I use for photography, apart from getting snap shots when I’m out and about. Yet I have come across people who do use their iPhone or other mobile device to take and create photographic images.

These two are very good examples of how people are using mobile devices and getting some outstanding images. The main question for is; will I have the same creativity, control and professionalism as I do with my DSLR.

Some of the better apps on the market;

Snapseed; dramatically improves how your photos look through the use of incredibly advanced digital software. Just a few taps will make those little tweaks and adjustments to transform an average snap into a photo worth framing.

Photosynth; is a powerful set of tools for capturing and viewing the world in 3D. You can share your creations with your friends on Facebook, publish them to Bing, or embed them in your own blog or Web site.

Cinegram; Create a stunning hybrid between photo and video. Animate small portions of your photo to create a magical image that’s part-photo and part-video. Apply vintage / cross processing filters, and share your masterful creation.

I really like Cinegram and will be uploading some of the images created with it very soon, but before that I need to go through all the images I took whilst away in London, basically over 600 images to trawl through
