"Monster" Tajima with the 700+Hp last version of his Twin-Engine Suzuki Swift

And not racing at Pikes Peak, like one would expect...

Before the famous Suzuki Escudo of Gran Turismo fame, Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima developed for years different and increasingly powerful versions of the Swift/Cultus in Twin Engined Spec. This is one of the very last and for the surprise of many, not racing on Pikes Peak Hillclimb.

It is racing on the All Japan Dirt Trial series, year 1995. Powered by two G13B engines producing a total of approximately 700Hp and moving only 840Kg. A Full Spaceframed machine with a Central Driving position and a Legend of Hillclimb Racing at the wheel on his prime. So the best is just to enjoy this little Gem from the past...

Oh, and by the way, this is where this platform/concept eventually went after years of experimentation...

  • Monster Tajima-sensei is the Orient King of The Peak: he set records in both gravel, mixed and full-tarmac versions of Pikes Peak, a feat that I reckon will never be equalled.
