    Morbidelli to race at ACI Rally Monza

    25-year old Italian MotoGP race winner will contest at next month's World Rally Championship finale round at Monza International Circuit

    Rally Monza previously featured legends from MotoGP such as Valentino Rossi, but now time has come for one of his student's to attack Monza's legendary asphalt.

    Morbidelli will race in WRC3 class, in Hyundai I20 R5, whom he tested earlier this year in June, together with WRC driver Dani Sordo.

    Morbidelli stated: “I am electrified by the chance of taking part in a real round of the World Rally Championship, This is going to be an amazing chance to be among the best drivers in the world and compete in a different sport."

    Morbidelli is currently laying in 2nd in MotoGP standings, picking up 3 race wins and 2 pole positions, and he is doing it on 2019 spec Yamaha M1, outscoring both factory spec Yamahas and his teammate Fabio Quartararo, which is riding on 2020 factory spec bike.
