The Morgan Plus-4, Morgan's most popular model, entered production in 1950, and so 2020 is its 70th anniversary. To celebrate, Morgan decided to create the most opulent version yet, featuring "the finest leather," an improved Aero Racing engine mode and exhaust providing a unique and powerful sound, as well as specially embroidered headrests for this model.

Capping it off, though, is a golden chassis. The chassis will have gold paint, and that's because these will be the last Morgans ever produced with the iconic steel chassis of the brand. It's underpinned cars for 111 years, and this seems a fitting end.

“As the design team creating the Plus 4 70th Anniversary Edition, our aim was to create a classic look, yet one that exudes the significance of what it represents," said Jonathan Wells, Morgan Head of Design. "A mix of premium tones, high-quality materials, and exquisite details reflect the essence of the venerable Morgan Plus 4, and provide a fitting tribute to the steel chassis that has formed its backbone since it was launched in 1950.”

Only 20 of these will be made for the world, and each will cost £65,995, which is about $90,000. Unfortunately, deposits have been taken for every one of those, so you can't get one. But you can have one of a dwindling remaining number of steel-chassis Plus-4s remaining.
