Pole Position:

Fabio Quartararo claims pole position at Portimao as he claims an all time lap record for MotoGP at Portimao. But it was Pecco Bagnaia until race direction ruled it out, this was due to him riding past a yellow flag. But Fabio topped Free Practice 3 and Free Practice 4, so it seems that he may be one to watch for the race win tomorrow.

Second and Third:

Filling the front row is Alex Rins and Johann Zarco in 2nd and 3rd respectively. Alex claims he has decent race pace to challenge for the win, but it is not as good as Fabio's. Johann Zarco will start from 3rd, and chances are that he will lead into turn 1 tomorrow due to the Ducati's power.

Second Row:

Jack Miller, Franco Morbidelli and Marc Marquez will start on the second row tomorrow, in 4th, 5th and 6th. Watch for Jack and Marc from the race start. I imagine that Morbidelli will appear during the race in the front group.

Third Row:

Aleix Espargaro, Luca Marini and Joan Mir will start on the third row tomorrow, in 7th, 8th and 9th. The reigning Champion, Joan Mir, will start 9th on the grid but he seems to be a better racer than a qualifier. Aleix will be pleased to start 7th as he will feel that he can get involved with the front group. The rookie Luca Marini has looked strong today, what can he do in the race tomorrow?

Fourth Row:

Miguel Oliveira, Francesco Bagnaia and Maverick Vinales will start from 10th, 11th and 12th tomorrow. Francesco Bagnaia did put in a pole lap time, but it was ruled out due to a yellow flag infringement, so he has to start from 11th. Maverick Vinales was also hindered by the stewards, this is because he exceeded track limits on his fast laps. The home hero, Miguel Oliveira, fell off in qualifying so he will have to start down in 10th place, will he be able to win like he did 5 months ago?

Fifth Row:

Alex Marquez, Pol Espargaro and Brad Binder will start in 13th, 14th and 15th place tomorrow. What can the two Honda's and KTM do during the race?

Sixth Row:

Enea Bastianini, Valentino Rossi and Danilo Petrucci have to start from 16th, 17th and 18th place. Danilo still seems to be struggling on the Tech 3 KTM. Valentino Rossi is continuing his woes from Qatar. The rookie Bastianini looked good in Qatar, can he continue his form at Portimao?

Seventh Row:

Iker Lecuona, Lorenzo Savadori and Takaaki Nakagami will start from the back of the grid in 19th, 20th and 21st. Takaaki Nakagami sat out Free Practice 4 and Qualifying 1 due to the pain he is in from Friday, he may not race tomorrow either. Lorenzo Savadori has still not found his feet in MotoGP. Iker Lecuona will really want to finish in the points tomorrow.

Sam Lowes will start from pole position for the Moto2 race.

Also on the front row is Remy Gardner and Xavi Vierge, they will start in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

Andrea Migno will start from pole position tomorrow at Portimao.

Filling the front row will be Dennis Foggia and Sergio Garcia in 2nd and 3rd.
