- Mercedes-AMG is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year – and this new AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50 has been built to commemorate the event.
- The new AMG GT C Roadster Edition 50 features special paint finishes ('designo graphite grey magno' and 'designo cashmere white magno'). It also gets a host of 'black chrome' details.
- The Edition 50 is otherwise mechanically standard and features AMG's twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8. Its power output is rated at 550bhp and Mercedes-AMG quotes a 0-62mph time of 3.7sec.
- Got a runway? Then you'll be able to stretch the new Edition 50 to its top speed of 196mph.
- Inside, upgrades include the 'AMG Interior Night package', which adds black trim panels, black steering wheel spokes and black shifter paddles.
- Despite its power and 1735kg kerb weight, the cabriolet is claimed to average 24.8mpg.
- Mercedes-AMG also now offers Night Editions of the new C43 4Matic Cabriolet and Coupe in some markets – but they're not available in the UK.
- The changes are relatively minor, consisting primarily of a blacked-out grille and black spoilers, trim strips and tailpipe trims.
- Matt black 19-inch multi-spoke alloys with polished lips are standard on the Night Editions.
- Inside, you'll find bespoke black interior trim and a Night Edition badge on the centre console.
- Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG, said: "2016 was the most successful year so far in our company history. We shall be using this momentum to fill even more customers with enthusiasm for Mercedes-AMG in our anniversary year, 2017."
- Mercedes-AMG will also be showing off the new C63 Cabriolet 'Ocean Blue Edition' at the Geneva motor show,
- Bespoke touches include an ocean-blue convertible roof, titanium grey forged wheels and custom interior trim.
- Only 150 will be made but none will be offered in the UK.

It's AMG's 50th birthday this year – and it's already bought itself some presents...
