Musk responds to JPMorgan’s $162m lawsuit… with a 1-star Yelp review
“Serious” allegations require a “serious” response, according to Musk
Last week, we learnt that JPMorgan, one of the largest and most influential banks in America, is suing Tesla for $162 million over stock warrants. In short, the bank argues that one of Elon’s tweets (below) affected the price and now they want Tesla to pay for the difference, hence the $162m lawsuit.
Tesla officially responded by saying that the bank is just trying to exploit the volatility of Tesla stock to make some extra cash (well, they didn’t exactly use those words but that’s idea).
Then, Musk being Musk, he also replied to JPMorgan personally and gave them a “final warning”, if they go ahead with the lawsuit, they’ll get a 1-star Yelp review. Big banks rarely decide to resolve these issues in public, but they did so because, quoting, they “have provided Tesla multiple opportunities to fulfill its contractual obligations, so it is unfortunate that they have forced this issue into litigation.”
“If JPM doesn’t withdraw their lawsuit, I will give them a one-star review on Yelp. This is my final warning!” Musk said. He later added this was a “serious” response to ”serious” allegations.
Musk is evidently very confident that the company will win the lawsuit, and I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
