MUSTANG MACH-E First EDITION REVIEW
First impressions on the Mustang Mach-e First edition
"FOR A FORD, VERY IMPRESSIVE"
THE EXTERIOR REVIEW
Firstly you have this striking Grabber blue paint working with some gloss black around the edges of the vehicle. Gloss black on the side skirts, gloss black on the front end going around the curvy front bumper. All of the window surrounds are gloss black as well which is a great touch as on most of the Ford range they are just grey unpainted plastic. From behind the car has a a gloss black diffuser breaking up the Grabber blue paint work. Then we have the glass sunroof flooding the interior with natural light.
Staggered rear lights like the classic mustang giving this silent new era car a connection to a motoring world icon. The car through out is dressed with reminders that it is the Mustang range. Even under the bonnet we have an embossed Mustang logo and Mach-e logo. All the badges match and tie in together giving you as the customer that completed feeling.
Large red brake calipers which can be seen the diamond cut alloys. This in my opinion is also helping the car carry the Mustang name. Gives the first impression a sporty look just like the classic icon Mustang.
INSIDE THE MACH-E
We have Grabber blue stitching across the whole inside. The seats are black leather like the seats you would find on a Vignale model. The seats hold you very well and hug you in place but not so its uncomfortable. You also have this big touch screen display that is really fast and modern. It does have its on/off button on it and it does ruin the sleek design of the cars interior. However it does match the gear selector dial so it is swings and roundabouts. The dashboard and door cards also has some fabric on it which at first I thought was out of place but now after spending some time with the car I think it helps the car feel more comfortable and friendly like a Ford should.
Being a first edition it does have loads of extras, if not more than most of this cars competitors. I am not going to list out all of the extras but it has your basic bits which you would expect from a top end car. Front and rear camera, upgraded sound system and your automatic lights and wipers.
IN SHORT
I think this car for the first attempt is epic, the attention to detail on this model is just brilliant from Ford. As a Ford sales executive I always notice bits where I think come on why is this not black etc. With the Mach-E that is a different story, I was wowed at the outside then wowed on the inside. I haven't yet driven this car I have only been a passenger but it is silent inside, very minimal road noise. 4 out of five as I think there are some aspects that could be enhanced to bring it to a 5 star vehicle.

I wouldn't care if they didn't call it a Mustang. But they CALLED IT A MUSTANG!? Mustang=fast muscle car, not a crossover that's gonna get obliterated by the competition. Ford could have called it anything else, but they called it a Mustang and I hate that.
Same
Just wait unitl the Shelby and Boss editions get released...
You have to congratulate Ford for making a good job of their first mass production EV. Although their EV footprint is currently pathetically poor, barely registering at all, this car is pretty much uniformly liked already. Ford is keen to point out this is a first step for the Company and expects to learn from the experience as it folds out more replacement models across their range (F150, etc). Something else that they decided was to make the transition to EVs as uncomplicated for ICE cars as possible, hence features like the volume knob on the centre display and the parking pawl in the gear-train, which American drivers are used to. Neither is technically needed, but it's two less things to scare ba potential buyer. They are comfortable, fast and handsome, while featuring just enough clever tech to impress a buyer. They'll also be astonishingly inexpensive to run by American car standards. Since electrification is inevitable and sooner rather than later, rolling out a vehicle in this market sector, one they can easily fulfil, it not being a very large one in the US, makes good sense. Their next full EV, the F150, will take the transformation up to a whole new level, with nothing but positive reactions from all quarters already. We need to remember that for 'legacy' auto-makers, whose business models don't reflect that of, say, Tesla, they need to keep earning by carrying on selling their existing ICE vehicles to both pay shareholder's dividends as well as investing in the transitional costs and servicing their debt. This is the delicate balancing act facing all existing giant auto-makers across the plant, by and large.
This thing is only a "Mustang" to any person that has literally never seen a muscle car in their entire life.
I do understand where you are coming from but we got to adapt to the future!
They could have just taken a mustang body and slapped it on an ev lmao
I’ve decided it’s really good-looking for an SUV.
Fuck, you're right and I hate that
Couldn’t agree more John
I saw a mach e in person and thought it looked amazing. I agree that it shouldn’t have carried the “mustang” name. Maybe instead it should have had a “mustang edition” with the rear lights / grills etc. I really can’t stand the way people hate this car. I know it is electric, but if it didn’t have the “mustang” name people would probably say its a great SUV! Its stylish, practical and fast. I would definitely be happy if someone gave me one.
