My Dreams Came True at RADwood PNW

A show devoted to my favorite kind of car, visiting the Pacific Northwest

10w ago

RADwood is a show that celebrates cars from the eighties and nineties, which are my favorite kind of cars, especially to spot. The show travels around America; I was fortunate that they stopped in the Seattle area, where I live, at DirtFish Rally School in Snoqualmie. Several of the cars there were on my list of rare cars to spot, and several more I've seen before at Exotics at Redmond Town Center shows. I only took pictures of cars I haven't photographed before, but even with that limitation, I took over 175 pictures.

According to the owner, the Japanese ones "are all essentially one-offs and they all vary based on how much of the AMG parts bin the buyer wanted--it wasn't like you could order an AMG model at the dealer like now. Mine is pretty much all cosmetic--aero, lighting, exhaust--which is true of most (but not all) of them because Japan's taxes made bigger engines prohibitively expensive."

    • Me, mine. Also raced the GT4 for a season in RallyX. They’re JDM street models but the Starlet was a club racer for sure and is equipped with a ton of Cusco and TRD sport parts!

  • What a line up, the design of the wheel of the Subaru RX is interesting, definitely unique. Also really like the Cosworth and the yellow Acura. Thanks for sharing 👍
