On December 17, it's was official that I bought my first car. It is a 1996 Chevrolet Camaro RS. The engine is a 3.8L V6 with a 5 speed manual gearbox. Its pushes 200hp and it's rear-wheel drive. The mileage on the Camaro reads 200k, but the engine has been swapped out. The engine has between 50-70k miles on it. The car needs some work but it's going to be fun. The fuel pump is the only part I need to get for the Camaro since the one in it doesn't work. That's all I need at the moment. I know somewhere along the way, since it is a project car, I am going to need new parts.
I know I am only 15 though, but I turn 16 in April. I am hoping to be done with car before I start driving so I can learn how to drive the car properly. I am excited that in time that I will be able to drive it. I always wanted a Camaro, so just fixing it up gets my blood pumping with energy. The most exciting part is that the Camaro has T-tops for nice summer days I can enjoy the wind in my hair.
I have a good idea on how to drive stick. I'm pretty good on shifting in games and I know its different, but it gives me a idea.
It was hard trying to find the Camaro that is a 4th gen with the V6 engine . I'll say it was mostly over 3 months to find the right one. So when I was told that there was one about 45 minutes away, I got so excited. Over a month's worth of work, I was able to buy it for $900. When I saw it in person, I began to tear up because it is one of my favorite cars and it was all mine. I got it towed back to my house after saying thank you and goodbye to the previous owner. Last week I bought the fuel pump and fuel filter. I am going to replace the fuel pump, but so far I have only clean up and out the interior.

well i just got my licence and am saving up for a golf, but my parents seem to want to give me my dads old truck, which is a pain to back up and well as a 16 yr old thats not a good idea...
Youll love that truck one day. My father in law had a 89 F150 with a 8 ft bed. He died in 2019 and i inherited it in a sense and now restoring it. They're not too hard to back up at all. Just takes some getting used to.
