My Japanese Carventure Pt. 5: Moving Day
Moving day, the day I move to my place of work, I was met by quite the welcoming party of spots
On this day last month, I moved to the city of Kirishima for my job. Expecting to be stuck in a car desert with nothing interesting for miles around, I was thoroughly surprised when I headed to my place of work.

The first interesting spot at the airport parking lot was not this FN2, rather it was an FD2 Honda Type R (my favorite Type R Civic of all time). Unfortunately, I couldn't whip out the camera fast enough. Luckily however, my camera was already out, so I was able to catch this European market FN2 Civic Type R Euro. My first time spotting one of these, this may not be the best Type R, but I do like the cute design on the FN2. Packing 200bhp, the FN2 can go from 0 to 60mph in 6.4seconds! Now this first spot of an FN2 Type R Euro already made my day in terms of spots, but the great city of Kirishima was not finished with the welcoming party.

Right outside my apartment was this absolutely beautiful Nissan Skyline BNR34 GT-R V-Spec II Nurburgring Edition. With only 750 made, this was definitely a great housewarming gift. Producing the standard 280bhp, the V-Spec II Nur featured immense weight shedding and chassis stiffening over the standard R34 making it a force to be reckoned with.

City Hall, where I work, also has these cute little Toyota city cars that I could use :D

What's better, this beautiful rotary beast is my neighbor! Definitely a good sight to come back to after a long day's work.

Never imagined an FD in green before, and it works surprisingly well.

Another neat little car we never got in the US, the Fit RS. Not too special, but definitely cooler than a normal Fit.

Also saw my first 2019 CLS, though this one is a diesel, the looks of the new CLS definitely makes it the coolest diesel ever.
During dinner with my new coworkers, it seemed like Kirishima was trying to show me all it has got, teasing me with a perfect panda Trueno AE86 and a classic Celica (though I could not take pictures since I was inside).

After that dinner, I decided to take a little stroll around the neighborhood and got some closer shots of the FD.

Since I was there, might as well get some shots of the front of the CLS as well.

As I continued on my stroll, I saw an interesting silhouette in the dark. As I got closer, I realized it was an Aston Martin Rapide! I have never been up close to a Rapide before, so below are my first close up shots of an Aston Martin Rapide.

Producing 470bhp from a monstrous V12, the Rapide is a monster luxury saloon.

Possibly one of the most beautiful super saloons.

After the Rapide, I met Japan's answer to the Rapide, the Lexus LS500!

With 442bhp from a V8, as well as top of the line luxuries from Lexus, the LS500 could definitely be a competitor for the Rapide in my opinion, and at a much lower price.

As my walk came to an end, I spotted this rather rare four seater 280Z Fairlady. Mostly sold with only two seats, the four seat variant is differentiated by the pointed quarter window rather than a curved one.

With all these cool cars greeting me this first day, I was incredibly excited as to what other gems await me next in this town.

That's awesome stuff! Really cool spots, like the RX 7 and the Aston 👍🏼
What a great first day. Each car was just as great as the previous. Too hard to pick just one. Good luck with the new job too.
With your path to the office peppered with great cars, you’ll fell very optimistic for the future
