Hi. My name is Barrie Ferreira and I am a self-professed petrolhead from South Africa who loves to share my car journey on YouTube and other social media platforms. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty lucky when it comes to the amount of supercars I've been able to drive in. Cars like the Lamborghini Huracan (on more than one occasion) and Gallardo Performante, the Ferrari 458 and 430 to name a few.
My ultimate goal in life is become a world renowned motoring journalist, and present my own television show. Yes, I know that sounds a lot like I want to be the next Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond or James May. But that's the thing, I don't want to be the next Jeremy, James or Richard, I want to be the first Barrie Ferreira. As any boy growing up, I dream of driving and owning awesome cars and living my passion. If I am lucky enough to make the grade and drive and speak about cars for a living, then my life will pretty much be sorted.
Living in South Africa I've noticed how people have a pre-conceived idea of what it's like. Most of the time it's how wild animals roam the streets, and that we ride on elephants as our daily transport. No! Yes you can ride on elephants at sanctuaries, but South Africa has got one helluva car culture! We have some of the world's most epic supercars like the McLaren 675LT, Lambo Aventador SV and SV Roadster, 918's, a LaFerrari etc. etc. That is one of the reasons I started my YouTube channel, Barrie's Supercars, and started my Drive Tribe, to make people around the world aware of all the awesome cars we have in SA and I'm lucky enough to be around and experience.
Before I bore you to death, I hope you'll join me on my journey. Remember to follow me on Instagram (@barrie_supercars), Twitter (@Barrie_Ferreira) and Facebook (Barrie's Supercars) and check out my channel on YouTube. Caio!
