My trip to Lamborghini Edinburgh!

Back in September, my family and I went to Edinburgh in Scotland, everywhere you looked there was a monument of some sort or a really fantastic view, but there was something even better around the corner from our hotel in Edinburgh. Let me tell you everything that happened that weekend!

It was Thursday evening, I packed my suitcase, got everything ready and we all went into the car preparing for the tiring but fun 250 mile journey. We set off and got to our first hotel in Lockerbie, the next morning, freezing cold, we walked to the car and drove on route to Edinburgh. We arrived at about midday earlier than expected so we went to a local shopping center and had a look at some of Edinburgh's many shops and went to a cafe with a perfect view of one of the royal family's old ships!

After we were done there, we went to our 2nd hotel located about 5 miles away from the shops. I was eager and excited for the next morning; I would turn 13 years old! I woke up the next morning, opened up my presents and then we went down to have some Premiere Inn breakfast, definitely the best breakfast around! My parents then told me that I had a surprise around the corner that we would drive to after breakfast. After I was told this news, I was not hungry at all, I just wanted to get there and find out what exactly was waiting for me! We jumped in the car and drove there. On the short journey to my birthday surprise, I was looking at every sign around finding clues for what my surprise could be. A big clue occurred when I saw a Lamborghini logo and we started to follow it. We were getting closer and closer, then I started to spot loads of supercar dealerships around, Maserati, Porsche, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini. We parked up in the Lamborghini car park and then my parents explained to me that they had been doing some emailing and managed to get me a tour of the dealership and a chance to see some of the cars!

I walked in overwhelmed and amazed at how exotic the cars were. I'd been to the CW1 house showroom for Bentley (check out the article) and I was about to go into Lamborghini's showroom! A man called Sam Kelly came up to us and welcomed us to the only authorized Lamborghini dealership in Scotland! He then said I was able to go around all of the cars in the showroom and take all of the pictures I wanted to, so here are the pictures I took of the cars there at that time!

My favourite was the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, it looks nice, sounds nice and handles like a dream! The engine as well is amazing, it has a 5.2 litre V10 engine that allows you to go 202mph, on the track of course! That day was also the first time I've ever seen a Urus, I reviewed it a few months ago and you can check out the article by clicking on my tribe and scrolling down until you find it! After I went around the cars, Sam Kelly asked if I wanted to have a look around the other showrooms and you can probably guess the answer I replied with...

He took me through Ferrari, Maserati, Porsche and Bentley! Here are the pictures I took from Ferrari!

My favourite Ferrari was the Portofino, one of the newest Ferrari's there! After Sam took me through the showrooms, he then took me round the back of Lamborghini, where the workshops were! There was a Huracan there, a deer ran out in front of the car and damaged the engine, so the owner took it to the Lamborghini garage for a complete new engine that cost a price tag of 5 digits, not cheap at all! After that, he took me round to the private car park full of customer's cars, there were Ferraris, Range Rovers, Porsches and loads more sporty and super cars!

Sam Kelly then took me back indoors and a man came up that also worked there and asked me if I wanted a ride in a Performante, I couldn't possibly reject the offer. We got in the car and set off in the sportiest mode, Corsa. The rumbling exhaust growled and we drove off heading for the country roads! The speed was like nothing I've ever been in, you could go around a corner at 70mph knowing that you would be safe afterwards, the handing is just astonishing. After the fun ride in the car of my dreams, we went back into Lamborghini Edinburgh and Sam Kelly came up to me with an official Lamborghini box and stated "happy birthday!" I knew exactly what it was, I'd seen famous people and YouTubers collecting their new Lambos and it coming with a replica model of their own car. I opened the box with care to find a spotless Arancio Anthaeus Lamborghini Huracan Performante, the model of course. I was shocked, I was honored and I was staggered. As I write this article that you are reading right now, I look up at my model Huracan remembering the day I got it...

A picture of me and Sam Kelly was posted on Lamborghini Edinburgh's Facebook and Instagram with the caption 'Daniel Achterhuis collecting his new Lamborghini Performante from Sam Kelly Lamborghini Edinburgh...today.'

Thank you again to Lamborghini Edinburgh for that day, definitely my best birthday by far! My mini holiday to Scotland was fun, beautiful and very Italian!
