Organised through boxa.net, it was a simple meet up of Boxster owners. I stopped on my way up to shoot a few photos of mine whilst it was still clean, mainly around Bala lake...

No rain = no roof

Meeting point was outside the Porsche centre nr. Chester. Despite the wonderful array of Boxsters outside, your eye couldn't help but be drawn to some of the 911s on the forecourt...

From there it was a blast down the A55, destination: the EVO triangle. The sound of 15 Boxsters hitting the dual carriageway at full throttle will stay with me for a long time to come. We stopped off at the famous Ponderosa cafe for some much needed coffee, and took time out to admire the other beautiful machinery that had turned up.

If you've never been to The Ponderosa cafe, I strongly suggest you go. It's situated near the intersection of several great driving roads in North Wales, and as such attracts all manner of petrolhead, 2 wheels as well as 4. The car park looks like an orgy took place in a dark alleyway between Max Power, your local supercar dealer and some random bikers.

From there we moved onto the EVO triangle, stopping at the Sportman's Arms for a photoshoot. Despite sensible driving from all, we were shadowed the entire length by several traffic patrol cars.

Whilst resting at The Sportsman's Arms, a fellow Boxster driver just happened to drive by and have his drone with him. After checking with the ever-present Police officers, we got permission to do a little drive by as the sun went down...

Perfect.

Petrolheads unite! A fab day. We'll be covering the same route very soon, in some very exciting machines....
