NAMGAR, the North American MG A Register, recently had it's annual summer gathering near Richmond, Virginia. The new owners of my dad's MG ZA Magnette said he would be driving the car down from New York, so I decided to go and take pictures of the event. I will post photos of the Magnette in a separate post.

  • , amazing piece coverage. I am curious, what makes the MGA special? I am purely, asking out of curiosity, as I am not familiar with the car. There is an enormous following.

    • They were more streamline and lower than their predecessor in the mid-1950s, the MG-TF. I prefer the MG-TF over the MGA however. In fact, I own a 1954 MG-TF. I also prefer the successor of the MGA, the MGB, over the MGA.

  • It's amazing how many of these MGA's we exported from Britain to America

    • I think they were like the 'T' series, more were exported to the US than sold in the UK.

    • Britain was slightly screwed after ww2 most people were rebuilding cities and most cars in the 1950's sold here were expensive to buy for the average person. Plus most people still travelled by train as it was a cheaper form of transport....
