Richard Childress Racing has been hit with an L1-level penalty after the Xfinity Series race at Kansas Speedway.

The No. 21 Chevrolet driven by Daniel Hemric was found to be too low in post-race inspection. NASCAR penalized the team Wednesday, docking 10 driver and owner points and suspending crew chief Danny Stockman for one race. Stockman has also been fined $10,000.

With the penalty, Hemric falls to second in the playoff standings behind Elliott Sadler. Hemric now has a 13-point advantage on the cutoff line instead of 23 points.
