Need info about resin made scale models.

Recently I just bought a 1/43 SARD MC8 by HPI Racing, not realising that it's made out of resin, not like the R32, also made by HPI but made from diecast.

So is there any do's and don'ts for resin based scale models? I want it to last for eternity, lol.

Also the R32 is already suffer from minor paint rash, which is common with diecast

  • Only difference I've been able to really tell is resin models can have more delicate details like mirrors and such. Otherwise resin will probably last longer than diecast because you won't have the potential rust issues. Just keep out of sunlight. Plastic gets wrecked by UV.
