Ferrari is hoping to attract first-time supercar buyers with their suave new grand tourer, the Ferrari Roma coupe. The clean, silken styling was inspired by Rome’s carefree lifestyle from the 1950s and 60s, commonly referred to as ‘La Dolce Vita’ which translates as ‘the sweet life’.

It’s a Grand Tourer but the Roma is no slouch. At its heart beats Ferraris award-winning twin-turbo V8, giving it a top speed of 199 mph. The engines trademark howl is routed through a redesigned exhaust that magnifies naturally produced notes, giving the Roma a spine-tingling soundtrack.

Although the Roma, and it’s attitude, is so typically Ferrari, several characteristics set it apart from the rest of Ferrari’s range. The exterior is exceptionally sleek with a completely new front end design. The human-machine interface has been entirely rethought and all of the Roma’s main commands can be accessed via the steering wheels haptic controls.
