This is the all new BMW M2 Competition! It has been a long time coming but thanks to BMWblog.si, we have the first images and details about BMW's latest performance coupe. The M2 is regarded as the best BMW M car ever and with this Competition version, things could get even more exciting!
Aggressive front bumper dominates the front end design
The M2 Competition is rumoured to be unveiled in the second quarter of 2018. The main highlights of this model focus around the engine as the 3.0 litre inline six is now twin turbo charged. This has resulted in a power increase to 410 HP and 550 Nm of torque. It can now sprint from zero to 60 miles per hour in 4.2 seconds while having its redline set at 7600 rpm. The engine is now even more stable as the new cooling system will insure you can keep on pushing it without the fear of overheating.
Styling wise, the M2 Competition receives a new blacked out grille design and new front bumper with subtle changes such as the three air flow openings at the bottom whereas at the back, it will continue to sport four tail pipes finished in black in traditional 'M' fashion. It also sports new wing mirror design which has been borrowed from the other M cars. The M2 Competition will now sit on newly designed 19 inch alloy wheels.
It seems BMW will offer the M2 Competition in blue, white and orange; which will probably have much more fancier names. Stay tuned as we get closer and closer to the launch of this new BMW.
