New Driver Wanted – Mark Webber auditions for The Grand Tour

Clarkson, Hammond and May continue their search for a new test driver with some Aussie Grit

      3y ago

After last week’s shocking revelation that Richard Hammond was to blame for the firing of The American (according to Clarkson). This week the boys have decided to fill that racing driver sized gap in their lives by holding an open audition of sorts.

Where exactly do you search to find a driver with enough bravery to tame the Eboladrome? Australia, that’s where. Step forward former F1 and Porsche endurance driver Mark Webber who shows the boys what he can do in the 2017 Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

Do you think that Webber would be a good fit? Or was his dismal performance in the Mercedes AMG GT R enough to put him out of the running? Let us know in the comments.
