Convertible Lamborghinis have never excited me. To be honest, Lamborghinis in general - the modern ones I should add - have never excited me either. Yes, they look great parading around Knightsbridge in London, but they're not that great at anything else.

That's until the Huracan Performante was released and Lamborghini finally proved that they could do something other than drive around slowly posing for photos. It became the fastest car to drive the Nurburgring, and although it was beaten by Porsche, Lamborghini proved themselves as the Italian marque they should have always been.

Today, we've heard news of a Spyder version which is going to be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show. So Instagrammer @monacoautodesign put these images together to show us just what it could look like. And I have to say... I like it.

It's presumably going to have the same active aero fixed wing and powertrain. Although if there is any additional weight, which there may be, Lamborghini may add a few more horses to make up for that. And what effect will having the top down have on that rear wing?

We'll find out when we have a chat with them at the Lamborghini stand where it will be perched next to the Urus - Lamborghini's new infamous SUV.
