With the release date fixed for the 1st of November the Lexus RC is about to enter a bit of a crowded market. With its base model coming fully equipped with rear parking sensors, sat-nav and 18-inch alloys; so far it's looking pretty good.

To buy this angry looking, road eating machine you will part with £38,800 for a basic model. But, if that doesn't tickle your pickle you can pick up the F-Sport version which has sportier bodywork and adaptive suspension and the £2000 Takumi pack adds a sunroof and a Mark Levinson sound system. This all adds up, making the range topping model cost £45,800.

Along with tweaks to the cars aerodynamics, Lexus have revised the cars suspension and steering capabilities in order to greatly improve the car handling and ride quality.

The RC has also been given the trademark analog clock from their flagship car, the LC. This, along with the use of plush materials is a bid by Lexus to keep up with the market leaders.

What do you think? Could the RC be a contender for the top spot?

  • Hmmm. It doesn’t look quite as nice as the bigger LC. But not much does.
