New Nike SB sneakers take inspiration from a familiar livery

Nike has just released the latest addition to the Dunk series, openly inspired by the mythological Gulf-liveried 1970 Porsche 917 and I've decided I want one. Badly. Actually I need two pairs, one to rock and one to stock, as they say.

Nike dubbed this the SB Dunk Low Gulf and they're made using blue suede, with a white Nike Swoosh with black outlines, black laces, number '58' decals on the sides and the tongue and orange soles.

Last year, Nika unveiled the SB Dunk Low ‘Pink Pig,’ inspired by the iconic Porsche 917/20 Coupe famously known as as the ‘Pink Pig', finished in pink with red, white and black accents and if Nike's not your cup of tea, Puma and Porsche are actually planning a series of Porsche-themed sneakers but, between you and I, I don't think they can be as cool as these Nikes.
