Introduction
The new Porsche 911 is almost here, we've seen it undercover, but it hasn't been unveiled to the public yet. Here is what we know so far*.
Hybrid
The 992 is likely to get two hybrid variants. These are being built to make the 992 more polar bear friendly and make the car more environmentally friendly. Porsche isn't 100% certain on whether on building a hybrid 911 but they are not ruling out the possibility of there being one.
Power
The new 911 is expected to get a 30bhp power boost in the entry level Carrera Models, which will bring the power up to 400bhp. The new 911 will be offered in rear and all wheel drive variants.
Gearbox
The big news with the new 911, is the new PDK Gearbox, which is up from seven speeds to eight speeds. This increase in gears, makes the car more fuel efficient and more environmentally friendly.
Interior
The new 992 is going to be given a brand new interior. The new car will have a dashboard similar to the new Cayenne and Panamera models. This will include a bigger and better touchscreen and a new instrument cluster to make the car feel up to date.
Conclusion
I think the next generation of 911 will be a brilliant car, but it has a lot to live up to against the old one.
