News: NEW MITSUBISHI L200 NAMED PICK-UP OF THE YEAR AT SCOTTISH AWARDS
We love an award up here on the top floor of MotorMartin Towers, especially when it involves a perennial favourite such as Mitsubishi’s evergreen L200 Warrior, so when news arrived that the new Mitsubishi L200 Series 6 has been awarded ‘Pick-up of the Year’ at the Scottish Car of the Year (SCOTY) awards 2019, there was much celebration.
It’s been explained to MotorMartin how the annual awards, organised by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers (ASMW) span 16 categories and recognise the most highly rated vehicles and automotive achievements of the year, with only the very best making the winners’ list.
John Murdoch President of the ASMW commented to MotorMartin that: “The UK is Europe’s largest pick-up market and our favourite has been on the go in all its generations for almost 40 years. The current model impressed our members with its combination of bold looks and impressive road manners. It also offers customers a choice of club cab or double cab body styles and is very well priced. The L200 is extremely robust and practical but offers a range of equipment that would put some SUVs to shame.”
Steve Graham, Sales Area Manager, Mitsubishi Motors in the UK also commented: “The new Mitsubishi L200 Series 6 is the most advanced pick-up ever produced by Mitsubishi Motors and has been engineered to balance an SUV-like driving experience and specification with the traditional pick-up attributes you have come to expect from Mitsubishi Motors.”
Mitsubishi have confirmed that, priced from just £21,515 (CV OTR Price*) for the entry-level Mitsubishi L200 4Life Club Cab, the L200 Series 6 has been engineered to be the most capable pickup Mitsubishi Motors has ever produced, introducing car-like levels of driving refinement and state-of-the-art safety systems to the segment and offering the perfect solution to motorists looking for the practicality and versatility of a pick-up without compromising on comfort, driving pleasure or running costs.
We love it. Click here for MotorMartin’s opinion on the Series 5 L200.
