Next Nissan ‘Z’ car to debut redesigned logo
According to a Motor Trend report, Nissan has recently filed a trademark for a set of redesigned logos both for the brand’s emblem and the badge stamped on its sportier range. Rumour has it the new, retro logos will make their debut on the upcoming replacement to the 370Z.
Set to be named the 400Z, the next sporty Nissan will reportedly be powered by a downsized V6 compared to the 3.7-litre unit found under the 370Z’s bonnet. And chances are the Japanese brand will stick with the good old six-speed manual that has become somewhat of a dying bread in today’s age.
The Nissan 400Z is said to be styled in harmony with the new retro badges. Hopefully, this means a air of the Datsun 240Z although don’t expect there to be bonnet-mounted mirrors and spindly tyres. Japanese auto makers have gotten into a habit of modernizing old designs with the Honda e as an example.
The upcoming sportscar may not even be too far away as sources suggest an unveiling as early as this summer with order books opening toward the end of the year. If the car is anything as cool as the logos, I’m seriously looking forward to it.
