NHRA Releases Remaining 2020 Schedule
Good and bad news for race fans
This morning the NHRA released their remaining 2020 schedule and it came with good and bad news for fans.
The good news is after this weekends US Nationals there are five more races. The bad news is due to scheduling conflicts and COVID, three races have been taken off the schedule completely. Those are the NGK Spark Plugs NHRA Four-Wide Nationals, Charlotte, NC, NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, Bristol, Tennessee and the Auto Club NHRA Finals, Pomona, California. In addition to those there were three races that the NHRA was planning on rescheduling, the Dodge Mile High NHRA Nationals, Denver, Colorado, Lucas Oil NHRA Nationals, Brainerd, Minnesota and the Menards NHRA Heartland Nationals, Topeka, Kansas, but those have now been cancelled.
The schedule for the rest of 2020 now looks like this;
September 4th-6th- Denso Spark Plugs US Nationals- Indianapolis, Indiana
September 25th-27th- Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals- Gainesville, Florida
October 2nd-4th- Mopar Express Lane NHRA Midwest Nationals- St. Louis, Missouri
October 14th-18th- AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals- Dallas, Texas
October 23rd-25th- Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals- Houston, Texas
October 30th-November 1st- Dodge NHRA Finals- Las Vegas, Nevada
With the cancellation of the Auto Club Finals, Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle champions will now be crowned at the conclusion of the Dodge NHRA Finals in Las Vegas.
